About the LVM recreation and tourism centre “Spāre”

The LVM recreation and tourism centre “Spāre” is a place on the picturesque shore of the LVM Lake Gulbju with comfortable accommodation possibilities.

Here, everyone will find the best way to relax – to find peace, sunbathing in the LVM Lake Gulbju on a boat trip, or to spend time actively, going on a hike or bicycle trip in the nearby forest. Guests have access to 8 comfortable houses and 4 guest rooms in the main building of the complex, which can accommodate 51 guests providing them with amenities.

Six-bed three-storey house is adapted for people with disabilities. The house has a lift to the first floor, a WC equipped with additional equipment, the entrance to the house is adapted for a wheelchair.

Holidaymakers have at their disposal boat and pedal boat rental, sauna, picnic areas. The employees of the centre will be happy to tell you about the best fishing places in the lake.

For seminars, conferences or small celebrations, it is possible to use a separate building with a magnificent, panoramic view of the lake and the forest, where tables can be set for 50 guests. Free internet access is available throughout the recreation and tourism centre.

From what time is it possible to register a house or a room in the LVM recreation and tourism centre “Spāre”?

You can register from 14.00, but the houses/rooms must be vacated by 12.00.

Are pets allowed in the LVM recreation and tourism centre “Spāre”?

Yes, they are. Pets are allowed both indoors and indoors. The owners are responsible for their own pets.

In accordance with the agreement on the management of the LVM Lake Gulbju, licensed fishing takes place in the lake.

How is it possible to buy a license to fish in the LVM Lake Gulbju?

The license can be bought from the staff of the tourism and recreation centre every day from 9.00 to 19.00.

Is it allowed to use my own boat on the lake?

No, it is not. Movement around the lake is allowed only by the boats of the recreation and tourism centre “Spāre”.

What rules must be observed when fishing in the LVM Lake Gulbju?

Fishing gears and types, size of catch and other restrictions in the LVM Lake Gulbju are determined in accordance with the valid regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia “Angling, Crayfish Catching, and Underwater Hunting Regulations”.

Are the walking/cycling trails near the LVM recreation and tourism centre “Spāre” available only to customers?

No, walking and cycling trails are publicly available to anyone at no extra charge.
