At the end of summer, on 25 August at 6 PM, amateur theatre of Tirza “Mūžam tavs” and youth theatre studio “Miljons” are visiting the Column Hall of Jaunmokas Palace with a play “Ak, Mariss, ilgu nemiers nenorimst!” after Mariss Vētra's books “Rīga toreiz” and “Mans baltais nams”. The director and author of the stage version is Alda Alberte.
The play had its première on 15 April of 2016 in Cesvaine Palace and has received appreciation of audience, and also high marks of jury in amateur theatre competitions. Play tells about the 20ies of 20th century – time, when Mariss Vētra (real name Morics Blumbergs) studied in Conservatoire of Latvia (now Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music) and went to improve his knowledge and skills to Italy. Play has been produced to have a precise portray of events of those times, and persons as well – here audience meets not only Mariss Vētra, but also bare foot artist Irbīte, universally acknowledged "Press Queen” Emīlija Benjamiņa, composer Jāzeps Vītols, soprano Ada Benefelde and other well known persons of that time.
The amateur theatre of Tirza “Mūžam tavs” works from 1990, with ten to seventeen actors playing in it. Theatre participates in events of Tirza’s Culture House, competitions of the region, and also visits other municipalities and regions with their plays. This play has not only actors of amateur theatre on the stage but participants of the youth theatre studio “Miljons”.
Play is one hour long, entrance with the entry ticket of Jaunmokas Palace.
