Each year the JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) invites schools to participate in educational events in forest all over Latvia – to get to know and learn about forest. This year is no different and we invite students to participate in a creative contest and create a sticker design for the annual LVM Forest Days’ events. This year’s sticker theme is “Young forest stand”.

Few rules to participate in the contest:

Sticker must contain:

  • Title “FOREST DAYS 2018”
  • The logo of JSC “Latvijas valsts meži”
  • Your creative view about the theme – YOUNG FOREST STAND

Remember:

  • The size of a sticker must not exceed 8 cm, width/length/diameter
  • Shape does not matter
  • Send your works to e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Deadline for sending your works: 13 December

Prizes:

  • The best drawing-design will be transformed into a sticker of LVM Forest Days
  • The winner will receive a special prize – a longboard made from a birch grown in Latvia’s forest, which is created by Latvian company “Lokalboards”
  • The winner will have an opportunity to fill a bus with classmates and friends to go on a paid multiform forest educational expedition (a bus to and from the place of excursion, participation of LVM employee).

Last year the slogan “Learn about Forests!” united more than 1000 students, who participated in the annual LVM Forest Days’ sticker contest of the JSC “Latvijas valsts meži”. Selecting one best work was not easy, which is why judges have selected also two judges’ sympathy prizes. The winner of Forest Days 2017 sticker contest was Agate Albekaite from Skrīveri Andrejs Upīts Secondary School’s 9th grade, but judges’ sympathy prizes went to Diāna Ozoliņa from Bauska Primary School’s 2nd grade and Eduards Jaujenieks from Aknīste Secondary School’s 2nd grade.
