Concert–date with Aija Vītoliņa and Aivars Hermanis at LVM Jaunmokas Palace

A concert–date with singer Aija Vītoliņa and guitarist, composer, arranger, producer Aivars Hermanis will take place on March 9 at 7 PM at the Column Hall of Jaunmokas Palace. It will be an evening of genuine feelings in a sincerely close atmosphere, with conversations and revelations.

Before concert, from 6 PM, there will be a chance to visit the Music and art festival's “Bildes” works’ exhibition ““Bilžu” puķu dārzs”. Entrance tickets for schoolchildren, seniors – 8 Eur, adults – 10 Eur can be purchased at the Jaunmokas Palace or at the ticket places of www.bilesuparadize.lv. Before concert and during intermission a café will be at your service. 

Guitarist Aivars Hermanis will perform instrumental compositions from his solo albums “Mans laiks” and “Liepājas iela”, from album “Bague Duo”, and also popular melodies of R. Pauls, I. Dunayevsky, V.A. Mozart,  J. Lennon, Chick Corea, A. Piazzolla and other authors. As a professional musician–guitarist, Aivars has performed in bands “Suvenīrs”, “Tip-Top”, “Modo”, “Opus”, “Remix”, in ensemble of R. Pauls, Latvia State Television and Television orchestra, G. Rozenbergs big band, “Stabu ielas džess’a” orchestra, in Laima Vaikule’s band. Done more than 1000 studio recordings, participated in more than 50 LP and CD records, Aivars still performs in several jazz and popular music projects: “Bague Duo”, “AG 3’O” and other.

The owner of velvety voice, femininely charming singer Aija Vītoliņa will perform songs in different languages and in many styles – from compositions popular in Latvia to less known, but moving flamenco ballads from world-famous ladino style performer Jasmin Levi’s repertoire.

Aija Vītoliņa (previously known also as Amber) began her solo career in year 2003 after a successful collaboration with association “Virus Art” in the musical project “Tango Sin Quinto”. In year 2015 Aija was invited to participate in the colourful play “Viva La Bomba” together with Intars Busulis, Uldis Marhilēvičs and Laimis Rācenājs, at the end of 2016 participated in the annual, popular cabaret production “Cabaret Allez” and in January of 2007 – in the singing celebration of Raimonds Pauls at Arēna Rīga. Aija Vītoliņa, as a soloist, has participated in the world-famous Bernstein's Mass production, J. Lūsēns opera–melodrama “Agrā Rūsa”, in musical productions “Cabaret plin plin”, “Cabaret Artelis”, and other.

In year 2018 in collaboration with the band “Tango Sin Quinto” Aija Vītoliņa has released her first solo album “Klusums”.

Aija and Aivars have long history of musical collaboration.
