- Tuesday, 05 april 2016
The curious, active and tireless children can go to the pine forest, that is full of surprises and mysteries, to discover the wisdoms of forest, to uncover the secrets of seasons’ rhythm and to enjoy the free, untamed beauty of nature. The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites schoolchildren that are inspired by spring to refresh the existing and gain new knowledge in the framework of environmental educational programme “Learning About Forests”.
In April and May, the environmental education specialists of LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites to educational and active lessons in the specially created Green Classroom, where several exciting paths are available: Animal trail, Trail of forest friends and not-friends, and also Wood trail. In the depths of the marvellous forest, the renovated Bog trail on top of a mountain should be explored, where now, in spring, it can be walked with an accompaniment of impressive frog choir. Each of the mentioned paths have one hour educational excursion with a unique story – about the good works and bad habits of forest animals, about the good pixies and mischief makers of forest, about forest development and sustainable management, about bog and its residents.
