Hiking trails in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete

The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete is the largest fairytale land in Northern Europe, covering more than 1200 ha of forests that are entwined with stories and miracles. The length of the walk and time spent on it can be adapted to the needs and physical conditions of the park’s visitors, because the total length of trails reaches 35 kilometres. To cover the trails of miraculous forest and to meet one’s favourite fairytale characters or to learn something new in the Forest Mother's trail, the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete has created five tourist routes:
-TIC – Iršu Garden – Mushroom Picker Trail – Annele’s Trail – Dwarf yard – Dwarfs’ village – Wooden View Tower – Dwarf town “Čiekure” – Mushroom Wood – Sprīdītis Trail – Forest King – Witch’s Forest – Playground.
Return with the Fairytale train (2 stops - 1.50 EUR) or going back on foot - Option 1: from café “Lutauša galds” take trail to the left to TIC passing by Iršu Garden, approximately 1 km, Option 2: crossing the river – Sprīdītis and Lutausis – Landlady’s Bridge – Irši Garden – TIC, approximately 1.5 km;
-TIC – Iršu Garden – Mother Forest's Trail – Forest King – Witch’s Forest – Playground – Turf Grandad – Stingy – Sprīdītis Trail – Dwarfs’ village – Wooden View Tower – return with the Fairytale train (2 stops);
-TIC – Iršu Garden – Landlady’s Bridge – Holy Mound – Old Pine Park – Sprīdītis and Lutausis – Playground – Turf Grandad – Stingy – Sprīdītis Trail – Dwarfs’ village – Wooden View Tower – return with the Fairytale train (2 stops);
-TIC – Iršu Garden – Witch’s Forest – Playground – Turf Grandad – Stingy – Skyways of Lucky Land – Dwarfs’ village –Wooden View Tower – return with the Fairytale train (2 stops);
-TIC – Iršu Garden – Witch’s Forest – Playground – Turf Grandad – Stingy – Skyways of Lucky Land – Green Class – return with the Fairytale train (2 stops);
During month of July, fairytale characters will come to life in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete, and on Sundays on the stage of Playground a theatrical performance “In the Fairytale Forest!” can be enjoyed. The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites to spend time in nature and wishes you a quick hiking pace!
