Melodious weekend in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete

The Children's Opera Festival of LVM Nature Park in Tērvete has become a tradition and was celebrated for the third time! For the first time Children’s Opera Festival took place in the Anelle’s Meadow, in a green, green meadow that is surrounded by pines, where sound lingers smoothly and re-echoes in the mighty branches of fairytale forest.

The Children’s Opera Festival was opened by a lovely fairytale concert “The Lucky Land” with Little Red Riding Hood, Karlsson, Pif-puppy and many other fairytale characters that were performed by children and teenagers in the style of pop & rock music and in an accompaniment of the “Forest Orchestra”. After a heart-warming story with a happy ending, the visitors of the miraculous forest were entertained by Jānis Mediņš production of fairytale opera “Sprīdītis” performed by Opera studio “Figaro” of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music.

Thirteen new and talented vocalists from Opera studio “Figaro” of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music performed in the fairytale opera “Sprīdītis” by Jānis Mediņš. The story about Sprīdītis, a boy, who went on a journey to look for happiness, about unfulfilled longing that drives him, about each of us in the search of our destiny, was told in a way that it reached the hearts of young and old. A family oriented sunny day in the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete!

However, on Sunday, on 11 July, visitors of the park were entertained by a theatrical performance “In the Fairytale Forest!” of performance series “Together into Fairytale!”. So that all visitors of the park had a chance to see the heart-warming performance about the responsibility of each of us to have a clean forest, on each Sunday of July on the stage of Playground two performances will be shown – at 2 p.m. and after a short break at 3.30 p.m.

The melodious weekend was visited by a large number of park’s visitors – more than 3 thousand. Each year the number of visitors of Children’s Opera Festival of the miraculous fairytale forest is increasing, by finding the hearts of young and old park’s visitors that are open to fairytales, stories and music!

The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete is a family friendly place, full of fairytales, possibilities to gain knowledge about forest, full of human songs and sounds of forest life, bird songs, rustling leaves and quiet whispers of a story teller. Fairytale lives in the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete!
