IT MEANS MOTHER NATURE.

AND IT’S TRUE.

Christmas tree did return to forest

What to do with the evergreen and beautiful Christmas tree after the Christmas? If it has been brought from a forest and you just couldn’t bear to throw it away in garbage, then in the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete a transformation of Christmas tree could be witnessed. The Nature Park in Tērvete has already held its first event of the year, inviting to return your Christmas tree back to forest and gave her a chance for a transformation.

Forests’ residents invited visitors of the event to participate in several discovery workshops – Woodpecker told about the colourful life of spruce tree, told about friends and not-friends of the tree. Fox surprised not only with her trickery, but also with her wisdom by telling the different ways to count the age of a spruce, however, a member of Dwarf family shared its knowledge about the wood properties of spruce. In the middle of snowy pine forest, in the dwarf town “Čiekure, we played games with Fox and Bunnies, sang with dwarf Conepants, participated in athletic activities, received a healthy birching from the Forest Witch, together with Wolf we searched for Christmas tree and witnessed its transformation, and took a ride in “iron horse's” sledge.

Witnesses of the transformation could observe how Christmas trees, brought by visitors, using a special machine, were turned into woodchips. Participants of the event used the opportunity to take home a part of their Christmas tree – one said that it will be used in flower beds, others – to create decorations or an aromatic composition.

Very soon, on 18 February, dwarf town “Čiekure” will invite to another event – a novelty of winter season – Foresters’ Festival! See you in the surprising pine forest in Foresters’ Festival!

The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites to spend time in nature in winter as well – the coldest season of Latvia also can be so very beautiful and joyful!
