IT MEANS MOTHER NATURE.

AND IT’S TRUE.

Sports enthusiasts gathered in Nature Park in Tērvete

On 18 March the sporty event “Hop, Hop to Forest!” took place in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete. The active recreation enthusiasts were not afraid of the changeable weather of Saturday morning - from the welcoming sun to sun with a light drizzle – and the pine forest was filled with running, jumping, throwing and walking.

Nature friends could enjoy active recreation in forest in ten sporty stations. At the TIC of Nature Park in Tērvete participants of classic orienteering and photo orienteering began their competitions. The classic orienteering gathered 33 participants with a considerable age range, the youngest participant was only three years old, but the oldest - 55 years old. Whereas, ten walking enthusiasts, who notice details and are pretty persistent, went on the photo orienteering challenge. The most precise and fastest orienteering enthusiasts received surprise gifts from LVM.

Dwarf town “Čiekure” gathered all Nordic Walking beginners and experts, altogether, 32 enthusiasts of active recreation. After the warm-up led by a Nordic Walking instructor, two groups went on Nordic Walking routes - 3 km track and 8 km track challenges. It must be noted that five ladies went on the 8 km track – two from Dobele and three from Rīga. After finishing the long track, which also included a trail around the LVM Tērvete Reservoir, one of the participants said that it has beautiful landscapes and a perfect relief for Nordic Walking – both with steep, and moderate ascents, and plain parts of the track. We invite Nordic Walking enthusiasts to enjoy the landscape, relief and trails of Tērvete!

But the active families and crafty nature friends had four interesting stations - Bunny’s sport games at “Čiekure”, determination practices with a bow and arrows, a javelin, etc. at the Annele’s Father’s Hill and a balance track at the Dwarves Travellers, the wits of Dwarf Mommy and games with the Cat for the little enthusiasts of active recreation at the Dwarf's Cottage.

Altogether, 280 nature friends were sporting and testing their abilities in various challenges. The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites you to go into nature, walk the footpaths of the nearest forest or to go on farther adventures by relaxing and spending an active time in the magical nature trails of Latvia.
