IT MEANS MOTHER NATURE.

AND IT’S TRUE.

Walpurgis Night in Tērvete forest attracts record number of visitors

The Walpurgis Night or the Night Festival of Fairytale Forest, which traditionally takes place in the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete on 30 April, this year took place for the eleventh year and gathered a record number of visitors – almost 6 thousand people.

The smallest visitors of the nightly forest went to the Dwarfs’ Forest, where together with Dwarf family members and the wise Mother Forest they learned the characteristics of spring, revealed the secrets of tree buds, participated in the making of peculiar theatre and “bloomed” in songs and dances together with the dwarfs of “Čučumuiža”.

The diverse Forest Witches and other inhabitants of the miraculous forest invited everyone to wear masks and participate in peculiar quests in the Fairytale Forest. Not only big, but also smaller celebrators of the spring night used the opportunity to visit the Grand Bloom Ville to receive the “green” kick or to do particularly unusual thing – to test their “greenness”. The candle lights in trails of Fairytale Forest and lighted up environmental attractions in the Witch's Forest created a special atmosphere.

However, on the open-air stage of the Playground the sonorous group “Radio Orchestra” invited to join singing and dancing. Emotionally rich performance was given by the fire jugglers of the JSC “Soul Tap management”. The outfit contest also took place, and this year visitors came well prepared. At the finale of the event, at 11 PM, the Shower of Stars – fireworks – “rained” over the several thousand visitors. This year as well, the team of JSC “International Fireworks design” took care of the festive firework show in this event.

Anyone who was longing for more extreme experience went on a nightly rope-wood construction trail four to ten metres above ground – in the Skyways of the Lucky Land. However, in the Butterfly House, where colourful butterflies from Asia, South America and Africa can be seen, was open even until 2 AM.

See you on the 13 May – the summer season opening of the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete with the event “Waking of the Fairytale”!
