LVM Nature Park in Tērvete will open summer season

On Saturday, 13 May, in one of the most favourite and family friendliest tourism destinations in Latvia – in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete – the summer season opening event “The Waking of the Fairytale” will take place. Lots of colours, joy and fairytales!
At 12 noon in one of the most thematic parts of the park – in the dwarf town Čiekure – the Fairytale will be woken up by the small and big dancers from Augstskalne Secondary School, but at 1 PM on the open-air stage of the Playground – a colourful fairytale song game. It will be hosted by our beloved actor Jānis Skanis, who will be the storyteller. The audience of the concert will meet various fairytale characters – those that are still favorite to moms, dads and grandmas, and also popular characters from latest popular foreign cartoons. Little Red Riding Hood, Thumbelina, Karlsson, Pippi Longstocking, Pif-puppy, Sisidra, Buratino, Snow White, Prince, Evil Queen, princes Elsa and Fiona, characters from Vaiana will sing the most beloved and popular songs from fairytales. Cast: The young soloists of Latvia – children and youngsters.
In the park you will meet the members of Dwarf family and also other characters from fairytales of Latvian writer Anna Brigadere. However, those, who will want to enjoy the beautiful landscape of Zemgale and see the lucky land of Sprīdītis from above, will be welcomed by the impressive Wooden View Tower. Those who enjoy active recreation will be welcome to “Skyways of Luck Land” – rope constructions in trees. Those who have the drive and discoverers’ spirit will succeed in it. The tired ones can take the Fairytale Train to get back from the miraculous forest. A hot meal and snacks will be available in the three cafés of the park.
For the second season the Butterfly House will welcome all of you. It is an opportunity to experience a tropical weather and learn much about the variety of colours, shapes and sizes of butterflies. Several parrots also feel comfortable next to butterflies, but in the pool turtles and fish are leisurely swimming.
Not far from LVM Nature Park in Tērvete, in Kroņauce's “Viestardi” a colourful field of blooming tulips can be visited. On the 13 and 14 May the owners of “Viestardi” invites to the Tulip Festival.
The manager of Nature Park in Tērvete – JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” – has prepared a special gift for 13 of May for every visitor – free entrance for all. The services of Fairytale Train and Wooden View Tower, as well as Skyways of Lucky Land and Butterfly House according to their price lists.
