IT MEANS MOTHER NATURE.

AND IT’S TRUE.

Walpurgis Night is just around the corner

When the first thunder has rumbled over the earth, yellow butterflies are seen everywhere, spring flowers are sticking out of the grey soil - it is time to celebrate, the spring is here! Nature has woken up – everything is swarming, budding, squeezing out, purling, flocking and everything is fragrant, and the visible and invisible spirits of LVM Nature Park in Tērvete are waking up together with nature and are inviting everyone to have some fun.

This will be the twelfth year when on Monday, the 30 April, the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete will hold the annual night event of fairytales “Mysteries of Walpurgis Night”, which has always gathered a large number of visitors. The celebration of spring will begin in the Dwarfs’ Forest, where from 7 PM until 9 PM families are invited to the Dusk Hour event with games, fairytale characters, musical quests and miracle fireworks.

However, in the Fairytale Forest around bonfires from 9 PM the Forest witches will greet all of those who want to enjoy the sensations of the night. But at the near Playground on the open-air stage the spring will be ringed in by the musical association “Stiprās sievas” led by Igeta Gaiķe, visitors of the event will be entertained by dancers from Rundāle, and group “Radio Orchestra” will perform. Special sensations will be brought by the performance of jugglers; there will be competitions and mask parade. The culmination of the celebration will take place at 11 PM with a magnificent light show. The event will end at midnight; visitors are invited to dress in fairytale character costumes and to bring flashlights and a good mood. The most fun and interesting masks will receive prizes. The Fairytale Train will run until the end of the event.

The Butterfly House, which will be glistening in colourful lights and will have a musical setting also after the midnight, on the Walpurgis Night will allow to feel the tropical weather and to enjoy the beauty of butterflies of different colours, shapes and sizes.

To have even more sensations on this night in forest, visitors are invited to go to the Skyways of the Lucky Land next to the Fairytale Forest, which are made from rope and wood constructions several metres above ground. They will be lit up and available until midnight
