In school break – environmental story week “With Forest in Heart” at LVM Nature Park in Tērvete

In school break week from October 21 until 25 the environmental story week “With Forest in Heart” in the forest education programme “Learning about Forest” will take place at the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete. Educational hikes, creative activities and active recreation for both young and old forest friends are guaranteed!
On October 24 and 25 there will be an opportunity to participate in hike to less known and undiscovered parts of Nature Park in Tērvete, and together with LVM Nature Park in Tērvete environmental guides repeat the skills how to orientate in forest, to observe the signs of nature's preparation for the cold season of the year, train attention and skill to notice “letters of nature”: the signs of bird, animal and also human presence. The hikes will take place on working days two times a day: at 11 AM and at 2 PM. In the Green Classroom interactive lessons – on the Wood trail, on Forest friends and not-friends train and on Animal trail – with participation. Previous registration for the activity by calling +371 29183595 until October 23. Gathering will be at the TIC building of LVM Nature Park in Tērvete. Depending on the number of participants the times could be changed!
From October 21 until 25 in the Dwarfs’ Cottage together with the always busy and hard-working Dwarf family get to know exhibition “Colourful life of trees” and see the diverse samples of trees. You can also learn about your footsteps left in nature and learn the basic requirements for a nature friendly behaviour in forest. But in the Fairytale Forest together with the inhabitants of the great pine forest see the changing value of time... Wood has one story, plastic and other products have different. Choose wisely!
However, on October 23 and 23 educational activities in programme “Don't litter in forest” together with the Pigman and Pigman’s Detectives.
The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites to spend school break in forest – discover, have active recreation and learn to work and feel the environment around you with all your senses!
