On the first weekend in May, seedling cultivators and enthusiasts converged on Sigulda for the Latvian Seedling Parade. Participating in the event to present its product, was also "LVM Seeds and Seedlings" of  JSC "Latvian State Forests". On the display stands of Strenci and Kalsnava tree nurseries were forest and decorative seedlings, while the Kalsnava stand offered visitors various activities, such as a tree identification quiz.

In two days, the parade was attended by almost 50,000 enthusiasts, which is the highest number in the event's history. An especially high number of visitors came from Estonia and Scandinavia.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Sigulda seedling parade has been one of the first events to launch the gardening season. Deputy Production Manager of "LVM Seeds and Seedlings" Laima Zvejiniece took part in the opening, pointing out: "This is the time when Latvia's most notable and popular seedling cultivators – both professionals and collectors of exotic plants – gather and meet in one place, to display and sell only Latvia-grown seedlings."

The parade featured summer flowers, wintergreens, fruit trees, roses, and many more – visitors could choose from a wide array by 160 cultivators, furthermore, participating in the event were also 50 merchants of gardening equipment and supplies, as well as about 200 craftsmen from all over Latvia.

Although the planting season is taking place in full swing, seedlings, which are grown at "LVM Seeds and Seedlings" nurseries according to the latest technologies, can be planted at any time, whenever a shovel is at hand. Contact tree nurseries here!
