IT MEANS MOTHER NATURE.

AND IT’S TRUE.

Visit Mammadaba recreation destinations in Balttour Fair

Already this weekend, 5–7 February, the 23rd International Travel Trade Fair "Balttour 2016” will take place at the Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre, where in the hall "Travel Latvia!” the popular Mammadaba objects will be found too.

Amongst 470 stands and 850 tourism companies from 40 countries, the objects managed by JSC "Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) will be found, such as, Nature Park in Tērvete, Poikaiņi Forest, Kalsnava Arboretum and Jaunmokas Palace, and also the information about the rest of objects will be provided both in the stands of municipalities and associations of tourism.

The dwarf girl Čiekurīte from the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete can be met at the united stand of Jelgava municipality, in the cluster of Tērvete, Dobele and Auce. She will invite you to tie up a cone with your wishes to the large Dwarf's Hat or to receive the special wish for this year from the mighty pine forest of Tērvete. The Dwarf's Hat – a 1.5 m high floristry piece from wickers – surely will catch your eye from afar! Moreover, before the fair, the regional information centres of Latvia has mentioned the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete as one of the eight tourism destinations that must be visited by each of Latvian citizens and foreign guests!

On Sunday, you can meet the Pokainītis there – the resident of LVM Pokaiņi Forest – with his stones of good words. Visitors will have a chance to find their own sound of nature by playing on the sonorous instrument of Pokaiņi.

However, at the stand of Madona municipality, the Leaf Mother (Lapu māte) can be met, she will teach how to identify the leaves of various foreign and local tree species, and also will bring news from the LVM Kalsnava Arboretum. Did you know that it turned 40 last year? The Leaf Mother will tell about the changes during these years, about the experienced and newly found. Don’t miss out on the contest – a chance to win some green presents!

Also the LVM Jaunmokas Palace will introduce visitors with the possibilities of recreation, event planning and history education that are offered by the Forest museum at the second floor of the palace created by LVM.

Lastly, information about the LVM Recreation and Tourism Centres "Ezernieki” and "Spāre”, and also about the Tērvete Reservoir can be found at the stand of Latvian Camping Association.
