For the whole month of August, LVM Jaunmokas Palace's Forest Museum will exhibit the travelling exhibition about the grand landscapes of France – Preservation and management of remarkable landscape heritage.
Protection of valuable landscape territories and preservation of biodiversity are closely connected, because these landscapes are, firstly, places where life is bustling. Many municipalities cooperate with state's institutions and associations to preserve and manage the remarkable heritage.
The exhibition illustrates collaboration expressions in eight valuable landscape territories in France, which are also protected territories of Natura 2000. It reveals the coexistence of valuable landscape heritage with sustainable development in the field of agriculture, livestock farming, craft production and tourism.
The exhibition has been created by the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy of France.
