The JSC “Latvia's State Forests” in collaboration with the National Centre for Education are annually organising the Mammadaba Masterclass (Mother Nature Masterclass) within the framework of the environmental education programme "Learning about Forests” to promote an understanding about processes in forest and to invite students and their teachers to spend more time in nature, also while studying. With each year the number of programme's participants is increasing, this year, almost one third of all Latvian general educational institutions are participating.
More than 15 thousand students will go and study some of the lessons outside their school premises by preparing three large tasks – “forest masterclass”, “forest masterpiece” and “forest masterday”. More information about the programme – Mammadaba meistarklase. Schools, that applied until the 20 September, in October by mail will receive “Masterpiece Boards” that can be used to portray everything that will be done during the school year.
