Each year the JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) invites schools to participate in the annual Forest Days all over Latvia – to get to know and learn about forest in the “Oxygen Day” or in adventurous “Forest Expedition”. This year is no different and we invite students to participate in a creative contest and create a sticker design for the annual LVM Forest Days with a theme – “Learn about Forest!” (“Izzini mežu!”)

Few rules need to be taken into account to participate in the contest:

Sticker must contain:

• Title “FOREST DAYS 2017”
• Slogan “Learn About Forest!”
• The logo of JSC “Latvia’s State Forests”

Remember:

• The size of a sticker must not exceed 8 cm, width/length/diameter

• Deadline for sending your works: 1 December

Prizes:

• The best drawing – design will be transformed into a sticker of LVM Forest Days and all participants of Forest Days will get them.
• The winner will receive a special prize – a longboard made of a birch grown in Latvia’s forest, which is created by Latvian company “Lokalboards”.
• The winner will have an opportunity to fill a bus with classmates and friends to go on a paid multiform forest educational expedition (a bus to and from the place of excursion, participation of LVM employee).

Last year, from more than 1000 received works, a jury – 200 employees of LVM – selected a winner. Dace Elizabete Miltiņa from the Rīga Avotu Elementary School’s 6th grade, in spring went on a forest educational excursion together with her classmates and friends. The sticker created by Dace Elizabete was received by all participants of the Forest Days.
