The Christmas week – “Christmas stories of the smart forest inhabitants” – for preschool children and children up to 6th grade will take place from 12th to 16th December in the LVM Pokaiņi Forest. Children, in the mysterious LVM Pokaiņi Forest, will meet some of the keepers of forest wisdoms – the Herb Wizard, Fire Man and Nose Dwarf. And each year, during Christmas time, forest inhabitants and guests are visited by Santa Claus.

In the Wigwam of LVM Pokaiņi Forest children will be able to learn the secrets of Mother Nature – what herbs need to be used for health and what herbs for strength. The Herb Wizard will be in charge in the Forest Wigwam, and with joy will share her knowledge. However, the Fire Man will be in charge in the Pyramid. The guard and keeper of fire will tell a story about the pyramid and its power.  As winter solstice is a special time, all guests of the LVM Pokaiņi Forest will have a chance to participate in a small Solstice fire ritual. The Ziggurat is in a special location of Pokaiņi Forest, where various rituals have been performed for health, crop, family welfare and happiness.

After activities in nature and with new knowledge acquired, in the workshops by a fireplace, each child will be able to create his own scented ball of Christmas together with the Nose Dwarf. When scented balls will be ready, all guests of Pokaiņi Forest are welcomed to the cabin of Santa Claus, where the real Christmas joy, that was stored during all day, will be summoned!
