On this weekend with the first Advent we start the waiting of winter solstice. In the client centre of JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” in Vaiņodes street 1, Rīga, a shop has been opened where the “LVM Seeds and Plants” have worked their magic to bring the feelings and smells of Christmas with Christmas decorations and gifts from only natural materials.
Artists from Smiltene, Valmiera and from LVM Kalsnava Arboretum have created diverse and unique decorations, for example, pot from cones, that can be used to keep useful or even yummy stuff, or green conifer Advent wreaths prepared in Kalsnava plant nursery. Each piece of work is unique, you won’t find two similar.
The traditional and practical Christmas decorations also have found a place in the shop, which now has gained an untraditional and special brand, for example, Advent wreaths from beautiful fir tree needles or from tightly placed larger and smaller cones, dwarf cones as Christmas tree ornaments, also reed puzuri that have been prepared in Strenči.
Unique accents on each Christmas wreath are created with cones of black alder, berry cones of juniper, chestnuts, acorns and acorn hats, hazel nuts, walnuts, moss, seeds of rhododendrons, peonies and other flowers, polypores, scales of fir cones and other miracles growing in arboretum of rare species.

The active hands of LVM Kalsnava Arboretum have prepared also decor balls from materials found in nature – seeds and cones, for example, viburnum seeds and spindle berries.
The shop of nature friends will be opened until the end of year on weekdays from 9 AM until 6 PM.
