This week Santa Claus is visiting the Dwarfs’ Cottage of LVM Nature Park in Tērvete. He is surprising pre-school and primary school children who are participating in the creative environmental workshops “In the spell of Christmas smells, colours and feelings”. Though, Mother Forest has taken of her silvery duvet of snowflakes. Why is that? Maybe so that in the light and transparent dark of miraculous forest's dusk we would seek for the light that is within each of us.
In the Dwarfery, Dwarf family has created a joy to receive knowledge and new skills, inviting the small visitors of the park to look under the evergreen spruce and get to know the theme of environmental workshop – “Under a Christmas tree...”. And who is hiding there? So quiet and teeny-tiny, yet so strong. It is – little work, little advice and little surprise!
Children enthusiastically do the little work given by Dwarf Daddy – to create a little dwarf, to get to know wood science and learn the secrets of woodworking workshop. However, Dwarf Mommy did not hold back little advices about the life of forest and its rhythm, about forest richness and the nature of human, she involved children in discussions and in educational tasks. But Dwarf Daughter prepared a little surprise, playful and active, where in a game one learns the stories of forest animals, discovers his agility and skill to get into some character.
When new skills and knowledge has been acquired, and maybe even some new talent has been discovered, Dwarf family invites children to go into forest to look for miracle. Children that have the spirit of discoverer, in the miraculous forest, are greeted by the Santa Claus. Oh, how the Christmas miracle is expected – with songs, shy poem verses, energetic steps, delightful smiles and with a search of the presents bag!
The LVM Nature Park in Tērvete invites not to be afraid and learn, create, discover! When your eyes and heart is wide open – the world appears in a different way! Marry and peaceful Christmas time!
