Latvijas valsts mežu Kalsnavas arborētumā ik jūniju gaidītākais pasākums ir Peoniju svētki. Šoreiz, pateicoties siltajam pavasarim, peonijas priecēja svētku apmeklētājus pilnā plaukumā.
The most awaited event each June at the LVM Kalsnava Arboretum is the Peony Festival. This time, thanks to the warm spring, peonies delighted visitors of the event in a full bloom.
For the first time during the celebration plein air painting workshop was held. It attracted a lot of attention and made the celebration even more colourful. Paintings of artists were sold in auction.
The event was adorned with the host Gundega Skudriņa, who, like a spark, made the celebration shine brighter!
The employees of LVM Kalsnava Arboretum are grateful to all those who helped to make this celebration even more colourful:
- Artists Anastasija Bikova, Grieta Butjankova and Daina Eglīte for the invested time and the indescribably beautiful work!
- Mārtiņš Maltenieks for the fragrances of sweet peas and prettiness during the event!
- The Kalsnava children and youth centre “Up’s” for the input and the creatively active workshops that made event even more interesting!
- Ieva Blūma for the masterclass in floral brooch making! It adorned the celebration!
- Photographers Māris Stiprais and Guntis Grandāns, who caught the special moments of celebration!
- Andrejs Svilāns, who shared his knowledge and lead an active auction of exotic plants. Thank you for precious moments that you gave us!
- Māris Brezauckis and the entertainment park “Avārijas brigāde” that entertained both young and old!
- Employees of Arboretums, who put a lot of work and effort to make this event perfect
Also, thanks to all the visitors. Thanks to you the celebration was a success! :)
During the blooming time of peonies the arboretum is visited by thousands of guests. We are happy about those who return every year, and also about each and every one of those who visits for the first time.
