Trees and shrubs are covered with white blanket of snow, but cheerful voices of children can be heard at the arboretum, they are rushing to participate in Christmas workshops. This year a chance to make an Advent wreath, Christmas tree ornament or a gift with their own hands was used by more than 140 children and their teachers. Everything needed is provided at the workshop, including more than 30 types of natural materials – cones, branches, seeds, wooden discs. Authors of the works only had to bring their ideas and inspiration, and also to arm themselves with patience, if a larger project is in mind.
Creative winter workshops at LVM Kalsnava Arboretum
Children, who visited workshops, surprised their teachers with their independent work and the enthusiasm that they had to complete their idea. Children truly amazed and surprised with their skills to create composition. Each work showed the characteristics of each creator and also the emotions of that moment. Most importantly – children enjoyed the creative process and atmosphere, and also the result of their work.
