It is no secret that January is the month of World Snow Day. All around the world the day is spent in public sports activities that involve snow. The LVM Kalsnava Arboretum, as well, on the 20th January from 11 AM until 2 PM invites to participate in snowy activities in the honour of the World Snow Day. Entrance is free of charge.
The LVM Kalsnava Arboretum will have plenty of active and fun activities all through the day. Snow friends will be welcomed with a parade of the colourful winter sports equipments’, where your equipment can be decorated to create a more festive atmosphere. There will be several creative workshops to participate in, and also various educational activities about snow and ice.
Event has been planned to increase the spirit of competition and to contain entertaining activities that are intended for team, family and individual competitions. For example, programme contains common winter sports played in unusual ways, the longest slide down the hill and the fastest run up the hill, a distance for skiers, a barefoot run for the brave ones and other activities.
You will be able to get warm at the fireplace by enjoying a tea, but you have to prepare with weather appropriate clothing. We invite to take your winter sports equipment with you, because what would a Snow Day be without an equipment!
On this day, the arboretum's territory that is closed in winter season will also be opened, including also the view tower, which will have regular entrance fee.
Come and get inspired, because a simple activity outside can become your small daily routine!
