Spring is coming, the day becomes brighter and longer, but darkness is slowly stepping back. In the greeting of awaking nature, on March 23 at 12 noon, everyone is welcome to the Spring Equinox and the awaiting of the Great Day at the LVM Pokaiņi Forest.

At the Information Centre of LVM Pokaiņi Forest we will create sound makers – rattles and other peculiar musical instruments for the traditional Bird drive out ritual. We will go into forest with sounds – wake up spring in nature, in us and in neighbours.

The annual Fire Ritual at the Ziggurat will be fired up by Dita Leinerte, a knowledge keeper of Latvian traditions, together with folklorist Pēteris. We will join a meditation to Sun and light, multiply love and peace. We will celebrate the Sun and will enjoy spring air of forest.

We will also swing, thus, bringing productivity to every work that we will do this year. At the end, as usual, celebratory meal and the delicious tea of Pokaiņi Forest.
