More than 20 different lilac varieties from the Dobele's Institute of Horticulture and other decorative tree saplings grown in the LVM tree nurseries for every garden owner, and educational lecture about the diversity of lilac varieties and their care – that all in the honour of the Lilac Day, which takes place today, on April 25, at the Embassy of LVM.
It is a chance to choose the most beautiful and suitable plant for your garden from the wide range of plants. However, if the desired plant will not be on the spot at the embassy, there will be an option to order it.
The leading researcher of Institute of Horticulture, dr. biol. Sarmīte Strautiņa at 3 PM will tell about the diversity and characteristics of lilac varieties, will give advices in selection of planting site and planting, and also give advices about the care of lilacs – tending, preventing disease and pest damages.
Thinking not only about goods for garden, from 10 AM until 2 PM at the Embassy will be an opportunity to buy also edible goods made in the Institute of Horticulture: apples, candied fruit, juices and other health snacks.
However, on Tuesday, May 7 from 5 PM until 8 PM, the Embassy of LVM invites to masterclass of potter Krista Ozoliņa, during which to create unique and practical clay works. Register for the masterclass until April 30, more about the event and registration!
