On Sunday, May 26, the third race of Latvia's State Forests Mountain Bike marathon in Sigulda took place. Participants were offered new and very challenging distances.
The third victory in “Toyota Hybrid” distance was won by “DTG – MySport” leader Oskars Muižnieks, but amongst women the fastest was Estonian champion Greete Steiburg. The second victory in this season in the “Lielbāta” Public ride distance was won by Pauls Rubenis, but the third victory to Santa Sanija Jurgena.
The Latvia's State Forests Mountain Bike marathon race in Sigulda welcomed its participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Belarus with chilly and cloudy weather, which later in the day turned into rain as well. However, it was not an obstacle to have an exciting race of MTB marathon.
“Half of the territory of Latvia is covered with forests, which provides unlimited opportunities for all citizens of Latvia to spend their free time actively – in fresh air and in healthy environment. Forest is a perfect environment for improving and developing your physical shape daily, but during competition – for testing your physical abilities. In forest, the most beautiful are healthy young forest stands, that is why it is joy to watch how many children and youth participate in the Latvia's State Forests Mountain Bike marathon,” says Tomass Kotovičs, the head of LVM Communication department.

The fourth race of Latvia's State Forests Mountain Bike marathon will take place on June 16 in Jaunpiebalga, it will be the first time to welcome a bicycle competition of such large-scale.
