The beginnings of pole walking can be traced to Finland where pole walking was introduced in 1930 as a new type of practice for cross-country skiers between the skiing seasons. Pole walking is good for anyone, regardless of age, gender or physical shape. It is a good way to effectively and easy improve one’s shape, particularly suited for people with knee and spine problems.
