In the picturesque hills of Kurzeme, by the Riga-Ventspils Highway and only 75 kilometers away from Riga, lies LVM Jaunmokas Palace. The palace was built in 1901 after Wilhelm Bockslaff’s design as a hunting lodge for then-Riga Mayor George Armitstead.

The palace’s current ensemble formed in a short period of time, while several owners came and went. Nevertheless, it maintained Bockslaff’s concept – to create this economic and recreational complex as a synthesis of Hanseatic cities and Gothic impressions.

The functional planning of interior and its magnificent masonry heaters were formed in the spirit of Art Nouveau, characteristic of the turn of the 19th-20th century.

Nowadays, Jaunmokas Palace is a wonderful place to relax, offering various opportunities for spending free time. The palace can host conferences, seminars, weddings and other festivities.

Companies, just like individual vacationers, will find plenty of entertainment options here, ranging from comfortable lodging, breakfast or dinner at the palace’s restaurant “Liepaleja” and relaxation in a sauna to sports games and romantic carriage tours.

The palace is also home to the Forestry Museum and its forestry, nature, art and cultural history exhibitions. We also offer various guided tours and museum education programs for children and adults alike.
