The Mother Nature is bringing surprises this autumn in the LVM Tērvete Reservoir, she is unusually generous and is boosting the reputation of LVM Tērvete Reservoir with catches of outstanding size! The rather small size water reservoir, with only 70 ha area, is abundant with diverse fish resources. Here, skilful and lucky anglers can catch large size carps, even up to 10 kg, and heavier pikes and sometimes even 1.5 kg heavy perches.
Laura Spēlmane in the early morning of 2 September – at four in the morning – caught a 12.76 kg heavy carp! After the battle with this mighty water inhabitant there was only little strength left, so when posing for picture, husband helped Laura to hold the carp. Fish was released back into the Reservoir after the measurements.
Very surprising events took place last Saturday – on 23 September! In the light of sunrise, at 6.30 AM, Lithuanian Nerijus Jarulis caught a 18.70 kg heavy carp in the Reservoir! After the measurements and taking a photo the carp was released back into the Reservoir!
