You might think – what can be easier understood than the notion about water? What can be easier and self-evident? But still, water is a total world – in nature, in human houses, in plants and how surprising is life in water! Thus, on 9 May the Jaunmokas Palace organises the third Nature Day, this time with a name “Waterlife”.
Schoolchildren will get to know the multiple angles of water life with the help of specialists from the Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology, the Water Research laboratory of Riga Technical University, the Nature Conservation Agency, the Institute for Environmental Solutions and Jaunmokas Palace. The themes examined will be about the saltines of water and sea inhabitants, water composition and its treatment options, freshwater insects, life under water, water birds and other themes. There might be also some surprises!
We invite 4th-9th grade schoolchildren from Tukums district to participate in the event! Event will take place on the 9 May – in groups up to 20 persons at 9:30 AM the 4th-6th grade students will go on the “Waterlife” research, but at 1:30 PM the 7th-9th grade students.
