For the third time the annual Knowledge Fair will take place in the LVM Pokaiņi Forest on 17 September from 11 AM to 4 PM. It dates back to year 2015 after being inspired by I. Vīks book “Mūža dižā senatne” (Our grand antiquity), in which I. Vīks describes Pokaiņi as an ancient knowledge centre where people from far and near came for advice. Latvia had been a land of the wise and Pokaiņi was the place where the wise had gathered and shared their knowledge. Was it really like that, we don't know, but wisdom is a value everyone should strive for. Therefore, this year Pokaiņi Forest will once again gather various practitioners, experts and teachers that will share their knowledge – self-actualisation, mindfulness, health, various types of therapies and many other things.

Everyone will have a chance to listen, talk and follow the thought – to shape your own opinion. Practical things can be tried out, for example, drama therapy with Eva Tabore, music therapy with Anžela Beļska; will have an opportunity to merge into the meditation of Latvian folksongs with Inese Kozuliņa; the leader of association “Viedums”, Voldis Prancāns will give a lecture about “Mission of life” and will consult; the director of Baltic Astrology School, Valērijs Babajevs will give a lecture in Russian about Latvian sanctuaries and person’s relations with the universe, also a chance to meet various astrologers and have a consultation. The folk art studio “Avots” will demonstrate belt weaving and the beauty of knitting patterns, will introduce with the transformation of clay and show how to make a yarn out of wool. The creative initiative centre “Mansards” and traveller Edijs Šplīts will wait for you in their forest office to play zvongos and to talk about life, Normunds Astra will hold a sastang meeting, Toms Krese will talk about mindfulness, herbalist Juris Bušs will introduce with medicinal plants and will have a chance to buy herbal tinctures, however, association “Dvēseles telpa” will offer colour therapy, music therapy and will introduce with the Maya calendar and astrology. Astrologist Guna Kārkliņa will talk about the kingdom of minerals and lunar impact, the knowledge school “Jūties labi!” will have prepared new things for children, pyramid master Kristaps Deģis will share his experience with pyramids and the art of creating them, studio “Alfa Jums” will offer singing bowls, wind chimes and chakraphones; will have a chance to learn about the Ho’oponopono method; meet the astrologist Mahesh; try out the vibroacoustic massage or facial massage from bathhouse experts of “Miesai un garam”; to try out I Liq Chuan in a guidance of coach Mārtiņš Kronbergs; learn how the shaman power drums are made and buy one from Šambung masters Laura and Arnita; buy books, jewellery, natural stones, etc. Hot meal will be prepared by “Brešu virtuve”. Event will begin at 11 AM with a small Fire ritual and will finish at 4 PM with a powerful Fire ritual of autumn equinox, which will be held by Māra Brante.
