The painting exhibition “Zied. Vienmēr.” (Blooming. Always.) – the artist's first solo exhibition in Latvia. It is a story about the presence of flowers in artist’s daily life – at all times. Even if they are not physically by her side, they are always present in Ildze’s paintings, ideas and mind. Nature is the greatest inspiration for the artist – plants, animals and mountains are the most favourite “models” for her. She is not afraid to use bright colours and graphic motives, and experiment with proportions between objects, as a result creating bright fantasy works with a touch of hyperrealism.
Born and brought up in Talsi, studied in Rīga – graphic design in the Baltic International Academy and functional design at the Art Academy of Latvia. Now Ildze lives and works in Switzerland, where she takes part in group exhibitions and art fairs, and also works on the development of her own gallery “Art In The Alps”. Works of Ildze Ose can be found in private collection in Latvia, Switzerland, England, Netherlands and Australia.
Exhibition is open at the Column Hall of Jaunmokas Palace from August 26 until October 7.
