Traditionally, we celebrate the Peony Festival around the time which is very close to summer solstice. This year we will celebrate on June 16. The Arboretum on this day will be opened for visitors from 9 AM until 6 PM.

The host of the event, Gundega Skudriņa, will make sure that nobody would miss the most wonderful and important moments of the celebration!

Festival will be filled with music by Madona Brass Band led by conductor Andrejs Cepītis, which has received recognition amongst the brass bands of the republic and in competitions have received the first degree diplomas multiple times.

The citizen of our region and participant of X Factor – Didzis Melderis – will entertain us with his musical performance.

Artist Aija Andrejeva will perform in the event both her latest album “Mēs pārejam uz Tu”, and some older songs as well!

As Arboretums is unusual in its own way, then this year it will also have the traditional auction of exotic plants, which will be led by Andrejs Svilāns, the director of National Botanic Garden.

The Kašera sapņu fabrika will take care of the adventure spirit of smallest visitors.

Also the team of LVM Kalsnava Arboretum will have thought about the smallest visitors and will offer various large scale outdoor games, which will also allow adults to remember childhood.

The “LIDO” street food team will take care of the hungry ones. Tasty, unusual and other edible and non-edible things will be available in the market prepared by craftsmen and domestic producers.

In the plant market each visitor will have a chance to buy plants to adorn their gardens. Also, on this day the Kalsnava Tree Nursery will be opened, there it will be possible to buy different decorative plants. The working hours of Kalsnava Tree Nursery on June 16 will be from 10 M until 5 PM.
