During the educational festival “In Tree Nature”, surrounded by the collection of the LVM Kalsnava Arboretum, we will get to know, feel, create and show – what is in tree nature. We will get to know the diversities of woody plants, because arboretum's territory has gathered woody plants from all over the world. We will study the diverse uses of wood and wooden products.
We will also reveal various stories of craftsmen:
We will open drawing and book illustrations’ exhibition of Rūta Kazāka. Drawings of author are decorating plant identifiers, publications and books. They highlight the significant – what photos sometimes cannot portray. Drawings allow to portray direction, which often is useful when portraying many processes in nature and forestry. Visit exhibition and see – what is in tree nature!
We will play environmental education and large format games, compete in relay race, put ourselves in the character of trees, walk through the trail of sensations and more... Everyone will find something to do here, have an unhurried time in nature. We advise to bring some blanket to have a pleasant nap under some tree. Also don't forget to bring some lunch, which can be enjoyed in any of recreation places.
