We invite to celebrate winter solstice at the LVM Pokaiņi Forest on the 22nd December.
This year we have planned to highlight sunsets of the short days, each of them is unique in forest, but always special with light, air, sounds and holistic feelings, which makes us all feel a bit in between two worlds –day's and night's. We can get confused, get lost in thought, just like on the eve of New Year, when the unknown future allows us to play with fantasies, but thoughts about past are reconstructing subjectively. This time, together, during the sunset, we will try to be in the present.

At 2-5 PM Activities for children around the Information Centre of LVM Pokaiņi Forest. Children will be able to work creatively outdoors – in the crisp forest air together with bunny Brencis, and also in the warmth of the fireplace to create Christmas decorations together with mouse Squeaky. 
At 3 PM Fire ritual with musical accompaniment during the sunset at the mound of Ziggurat. Before going to the mound of Ziggurat, through a little lights’s trail that we all will have created, everyone will be welcomed to weave last year's thoughts and feelings into a braid. 
At 4 PM at the Information Centre is where you can enjoy hot herbal tea and have your lunch.
